Meet Coach Allison O’Beirne: nature lover, skier, empath, ally, and Certified Life Coach!
In 2019, Allison became a Certified Life Coach and introduced First Chair Life Coaching to the world. With determination and a passion for empowering others in living their authentic lives, Allison found her own destined life path.
Growing up, Allison knew that she wanted to help people, support others, and be a conduit of motivation and light for those trying to find their place in the world. Most of all, she wanted to feel fulfilled in life and make a positive impact. What she didn’t know was which path to take to bring these dreams into reality.
Becoming a Life Coach was not something Allison considered pursuing growing up. “Life Coach” was never listed on aptitude tests, career quizzes, or job trackers – she even once took a Cosmopolitan career quiz and it predicted that she would become the next “Fragrance Chemist” – certainly not the dream she had in mind!

“The human body is a beautiful organism composed holistically of the mind, body, and spirit: these components constantly work together to grow and evolve.”
Like many of us, she felt the need to please these influences instead of pursuing what she wanted for her own life. Allison focused her time on doing what she “should” do in order to make others comfortable, continuously molding herself to fit in and be accepted. She tried her best to live a “normal” life on the outside, suppressing her feelings deep down.
For almost 10 years, Allison lived an anxiety-ridden, people-pleasing lifestyle. This went on without realizing how much damage her spirit was taking – until one day, she began experiencing horrific physical pains and chronic illness. Years of suppressing herself took a great toll mentally and physically, manifesting as a constant pain, exhaustion, and a deeply broken spirit.

Allison’s soul was screaming to be set free after suppressing what made her feel true due to the pressure of “fitting in” with the world around her.

Allison gained a new optimism for the future, proud of her new journey which was just beginning. She accepted and embraced her unique qualities rather than worrying about being “normal” and accepted by others. In the end, she discovered that there is no such thing as “normal”, but the difference in being healthy or unhealthy is very real.
The way Allison previously lived her life was incredibly unhealthy for her mind, body, and spirit. Living authentically and in full acceptance of herself felt MUCH healthier and happier, and there has been no going back down this mountain since!
In 2019, Allison received her Life Coach certification from The Life Purpose Institute. Shortly after, she opened First Chair Life Coaching for business. She is dedicated to supporting and guiding others as they lift the veil from their own fog, climbing their way towards an authentic, healthy, and balanced life.
I can remember learning to ski like it was yesterday. I had on my toddler skis, my little helmet and I looked like a purple, puffy, Easter peep. My dad and I stood at the bottom of the ski hill and I remember looking up and thinking it was a mountain. There was no way I was going to make it up that hill and if I did, there was NO getting me down. But to my surprise, I survived, and not only that, I did it over and over again.
As the years went on that mountain got smaller and smaller and I realized that it was the bunny hill. But every ski season dad introduced me to a new hill, or in my case mountain, and they always looked so scary. With his never ending support and help, every year I conquered a new hill. Dad never let my fear stop me from catching that first chair and heading to the top.
In 2014 I unexpectedly lost my father. I was 21 years old, just beginning to start my life as an independent woman when my heart was ripped from my chest. He was healthy, loving and caring. I couldn’t understand why the universe would take him like this and leave me here alone. He was my best friend and biggest supporter. After months and years of crying in privacy and putting on a fake smile for others, I decided that was not the way life was meant to be lived. I pulled myself up, thought of my dad’s smile and decided I wanted to catch the first chair up this new mountain. Through his death, I learned so many lessons about myself, my family, the world, and most importantly, LIFE. My desire became clear to me; I wanted to help others get up their mountain too.
My dad is the man behind the mountain and the man behind the name. So, if you ever feel lost on your journey up to the top of your personal mountain, I’m here to help you find your way to happiness!
